The MSc programme in Dietetics would allow students to work as dietitians in hospitals, in private practice, in community health, in Non-Governmental. Organisations, in government and Departments (Health, Education, Sports), the nutrition industry (product development, marketing, consumer information), the food industry, food service departments in healthcare facilities and institutions, media and marketing and in academia and research. Successful completion of this programme may provide a pathway to a graduate research degree both locally and internationally (MPhil / Ph.D.). The MSc programme in Global Public Health Nutrition is designed to give students a broad introduction to public health while equipping them with the skills and knowledge to define, critically assess and resolve public health nutrition issues within a community. Employment opportunities for international public health nutritionists are growing with new openings, for instance working as a public health nutrition adviser / programme officer with international development organisations like UNICEF, WHO, WFP, international non-governmental organizations like Save the Children, World Vision, Childfund, and local NGOs as well as in Ministries of Health, Education etc. Successful completion of this programme may provide a pathway to a graduate research degree (MPhil / PhD), nationally and internationally. After completing the MSc/ Master of Human Nutrition, the following career options are available: Academic positions in university settings, e.g. lecturer, researcher, Nutritionists in government institutes, Nutrition Programme Coordinator and Manager in Development agencies and nongovernmental Organizations, Food/nutrition industries, Private freelance practice, Sports nutritionist. Successful completion of this programme may provide a pathway to a graduate research degree (MPhil / Ph.D.) both locally and internationally.

A candidate can register for the programme on a fulltime or part-time basis. A ‘Full-time student’ is a registered candidate enrolled in 15 credits or more in a semester. A ‘Part-time student’ is a registered candidate enrolled in less than 15 credits in a semester.
